The Wisconsin IoT Council (WIoT) presents an evening with Brent Leland, former CIO of Trek and now President of High G Solutions and the Chair of Advancing AI WIsconsin to be held at MSOE's Dwight and Dian Diercks Computational Science Hall.

Special thanks to SPR, who has handed over the reigns of the Milwaukee Internet of Things Meetup Group to WIoT. SPR will continue to be involved as a sponsor.

Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things are two rapidly advancing technologies currently mired at the intersection of hype versus potential. Businesses are leveraging IoT to create new products and services. In addition, AI, while likely the most disruptive technology of the next decade, needs a connection to the physical world. By combining the two, the potential impact increases exponentially. Brent Leland will attempt to demystify the hype and discuss how AI and IoT can be used to deliver innovative solutions, transform businesses, and create competitive differentiations.

Leading the Wisconsin

Connectivity Initiatives

What We Believe

We believe Wisconsin holds a unique position to lead the advancement of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT).

With a rich history in manufacturing, software, retail, and healthcare, our state possesses the expertise, experience, and forward-thinking mindset required to shape the future of connected technology. For Wisconsin to thrive in this era of rapid technological transformation, we must foster innovation and collaboration among businesses as they explore and develop enhancements in their products and operations. By leveraging our shared strengths and nurturing local talent and enterprises, we can ensure that pioneering solutions are not only envisioned here but also realized and built within our state.

What We Do

The Council is a professional, member-driven organization committed to establishing Wisconsin as a hub of excellence for the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and other emerging technologies. We provide our members with a platform for impactful networking, skill development, business expansion, and the exchange of specialized industry knowledge centered on the implementation of these technologies.

Additionally, we have developed an advocacy platform that seeks funding for training programs to support manufacturing businesses in integrating emerging technologies into their operations and products.

How We Do It

We provide statewide programming for our membership in an event series focused on Education, Capital, Talent, and Policy.  Additionally, we work to connect regional companies on topics of common interests and source and publish case studies of emerging IoT and AI products and implementations that have taken place in Wisconsin.

In bringing our resources to the membership, the Council has developed relationships with the UW-Electronic Business Consortium (UWEBC) and the WMEP.
